Beautiful Tenwek

Wow!  The views are just stunning.  Ken is already plugged in and working at the hospital.  The girls and I slept in much later than we imagined.  Our hostess, Theresa, took us on a tour of the area.  At one point I turned around and looked at the beautiful view and just got tears in my eyes.  It really is beautiful.  It is winter and the rainy season so everything is lush and green.  We have been told that the rains start around 3 or 4 in the afternoon and if yesterday is any indication, they will be plentiful!  The people are all so warm and friendly.  We just came in from a little walk and a group of very young school children who were going home from school.  They were all smiles and "Hullo."

Our apartment is very nice and very spacious.  We have a kitchen, dining room, family room, three bedrooms and two bathrooms.  It is much, much more than we anticipated.  Our neighbor's Lisa and Pete have a beautiful garden that we are thoroughly enjoying.  They have invited us to dinner tonight and we are looking forward to meeting their eight year old daughter.
